Soooo disappointed

So we went Christmas shopping, the normal places, BX, Target and it was soooo disappointing. Beyond the clerks with the shitty attitudes are the managers or purchasers who are stocking the shelves with shit. The Travis BX normally has some pretty great stuff and is a wonderful place for us to shop, run up our Star card only to pay it off a month later with our tax return - something we have done for the past 7 years. Only this year, they didn't have crap, no Toyland in the outdoor section, no small appliances, no kid CD's or soundtracks...

Anyway, we are having trouble finding what the kids want anyway. They can't even decide... ahhh, shopping for the spoiled - I mean well behaved angels who get whatever they want:)

Totally funny - this year little Mike asked for a gift certificate to Red Lobster, the way to Christmas happiness is through his stomach.

Do you think that they know?

I know that most parents say that their children are their life and it is true that in today's society parents are more involved with their brood. Mike and I devote most of everything that we do to our babies. Do you think that our children realize how much we love them. Will they ever understand the anxiety, joy, happiness, worry, love, jubilation, sweetness, elation and tears that they bring to us.

Last year was our first trip to Disneyland. We entered the park at dusk and were walking down Main St. at the end of the parade when Sleeping Beauty and other Princesses were on the float. Maria and Michael looked with such amazement and awe, it was magic... and it moved Mike and me to tears. Corny right? No, in this world of sadness, despair, typhoons, cyclones and war - we managed to have our babies faces light up on that street, the image burned into my soul. We hope to continue to amaze them, shield them, protect them and instill them with love and peace, and God so that when they see the sadness in the world, that thay can reach into their self and exmplify humanity in despair...
